I use toothpaste (we use Crest at home) and a soft toothbrush, rince throughly. Sparkling clean silver...works on gold too.

Amonia mixed with 4ozs of warm water works well. Wipe clean with soft cloth. good luck.

Place silver jewellery in a small saucepan (an aluminium one if you have one – try an op shop) – add boiling water and small pieces of aluminium foil and a deaaser spoon of salt.

Boil for about 15 minutes – don’t let it boil dry -add more water if necessary.

The chemical reaction between the aluminium and salt will re-oxidize the black tarnish back to silver.
