Are dog tags (mens i.d necklaces) related to gay culture?

I got told by someone dog tags were related to gay culture and that gay people wear them as a sign to tell other gay people that they are gay.

Is this true? My nan is trying to buy me one for my 18th and I certainly don’t want them if it is >_<
Oh and I didn’t mean any offence if anyone who reads this is gay, but I ain’t hence me not wanting them if it is true

I don’t think so…I’ve actually never heard that

    Ummm, they are issued to you when you join the military…. so unless every person fighting for our country now is gay then no, they are not for gay people.
