it’s probably not …
it’s probably not gold but plated. there’s a lot of that out there. take it to a pawn shop and ask them if it’s real gold.

I have a ‘gold’ 14k necklace, it has the markings saying it is 14k like real gold would have, but it turning like a silvery colour, can gold do that, if so how can i clean it??
